Our editorial policy
Helpful. Traceable. Honest about the limits.
TripChina publishes research-based guidance for short-term visitors. The TripChina Editorial Team is our publishing byline; we do not imply personal testing or professional qualifications that we cannot substantiate.
Our source hierarchy
- Rules and public services: the responsible government authority, such as NIA, or the operator, such as China Railway.
- Product features: the service provider’s documentation and official visitor guidance.
- Travel experience: community reports can identify questions and friction, but do not establish policy.
We link sources near relevant statements and at the end of each guide. Where an official page has a date or limited regional scope, we preserve that context. If a rule cannot be verified, we narrow the claim or direct you to the authority.
How to read our labels
- Official rule: a requirement stated by the responsible authority or operator.
- Official guidance: information or instructions supported by an official source.
- Practical guidance: our editorial preparation advice, not a legal requirement or a tested guarantee.
- Traveler pattern: when used, a recurring community observation—not official policy or our own first-hand experience.
Review dates mean actual checks
We compare material against the listed sources, check applicable dates and locations, and separate stable preparation advice from changing rules. A source-review date records that research. We update a page’s modification date only for a meaningful content, source or policy change; rebuilding the website does not refresh it.
We aim to revisit policy-sensitive guides monthly and when an authoritative change or correction is reported. This is an editorial maintenance target, not a live monitoring guarantee. You should recheck important rules before departure.
Independence and originality
This edition has no sponsored picks, affiliate booking links or paid rankings. We write our own summaries rather than copying posts, images or long passages from other sites. Automation may assist research organization and drafting; it is not evidence of expertise or a substitute for the linked primary sources.
We do not fabricate authors, on-the-ground tests, reviews or policy certainty. If first-hand reporting is added later, we will identify what was experienced, where and when.
Corrections
Email lifeplanlist@163.com with the page URL, the statement you believe is wrong and a current official source if possible.
Please do not send passport scans, payment details, medical records or other sensitive information. An urgent situation should go to the relevant service, not our correction channel.
For a confirmed material error, we correct or remove the claim, recheck affected guidance and update the review date. A source that is unavailable or contradictory is not silently treated as confirmed.
